Sundays are for football, not laundry, so we teamed up with The NFL, NBC and Peyton Manning to encourage people to refrain from washing their clothes during football games. Part advertising campaign for Tide, part promo for NBC and The NFL, this month-long campaign pushed the boundaries of what broadcast advertising can be. And we’re not just saying that. We’re writing it in the captions of our website.

THE NFL IS A TIDE AD

The previous year, we partnered with The NFL and Fox Sports to turn every Thursday Night Football game into a Tide ad, blurring the line between what was a commercial and what was an actual game.

Fans’ reactions ranged from “hey, was that a Tide ad I just saw?” to “wait a second, was that a Tide ad I just saw?”

We created 17 unique pieces of content, each one custom made to blend into the game they ran in. These are a few of our favorites.

And, of course, we made some GIFs, because it’s the law.
